  • Gorillla Glue Europe Limited 11 years   4 months

As a Managing Director, I played the key role in the growth the company and product ranges to become market-leading adhesive, tape and skincare ranges in the UK and Europe. I have championed Gorilla Glue to become fully established and recognised as a major player in the DIY industry, with strong and established relationships with all major retailers. In addition to the commercial development of the Gorilla brand and business, I launched the O’Keeffe’s skincare brands throughout Europe. I have achieved consistent YOY growth >60%, increasing sales from £250,000 to over £40M with full responsibility for P&L, setting budgets and implementing a strategic business plan and brand strategy (including NPD rollout). Here, I managed and coordinated the strategic development of all key departments, with plans for future growth and development increasing the staff headcount to 60, as well as working with our US counterparts on NPD and acquisitions, liaising with the U marketing and operational functions. During my time here, I established the Marketing department, which was integral to the launches of key products, including the O’Keeffe’s brand throughout Europe and the Middle East, I also developed and built a sales team with additional account management responsibilities for small, independent retailers to wholesalers and national/pan-Global retailers. This included developing a new sales team specifically for the O'Keeffe's brand, resulting in becoming a market-leading skincare brand in the UK. Throughout my role, I established a European distribution centre, developing the Company from a sole distributor to a multi-channel route to the market model resulting in the deep distribution in both the DIY and Pharmacy industries.
Within this key position, I was integral to establishing the Marketing Department and sourced/engineered a Distribution Network for the UK and Europe, ensuring excellent customer experience. I consistently increased sales by >50% since my tenure began, whilst also playing a key role as the point of contact for all national accounts. I championed the direct line management of a team/agents throughout the UK and Europe, whilst holding full P&L responsibility, as well as setting and achieving sales and profitability objectives. During my time here, I sourced and negotiated with key European Distributors and spearheaded the full-cycle of the launch of Gorilla Glue throughout Europe.
